Strength Isn’t Built in Your Comfort Zone

Strength Isn’t Built in Your Comfort Zone

You don’t get stronger by avoiding resistance.

It’s pretty obvious in the gym. If I keep lifting what’s comfortable, eventually I stop getting stronger.

Life isn’t all that different.

We naturally want to avoid the things that feel heavy; the difficult conversation, the rejection, the setback, the change we didn’t ask for, the season that pushes us outside our comfort zone.

But some of the hardest things we go through are also the things that build us.

Resistance forces us to adapt.

It shows us what we’re capable of.

It builds strength we didn’t know we needed.

That doesn’t mean we have to enjoy the hard seasons. But we do get to decide what we build from them.

So the next time life feels heavy, instead of only asking:

“Why is this happening to me?”

Try asking:

“What is this building in me?”

You might not be stuck.

You might be getting stronger.
